An artificial garden with two children's play areas was built on the roof of the Sky Plaza shopping center in Frankfurt, with a total area of nearly 7,300 m2. Right in the middle of this play area stands the spherical Cosmo rope play structure, whose ropes connect firmly to a stainless steel frame. The biggest challenge of the project was keeping this frame solid without affecting the roof structure too much. Three-pronged tube-shaped foundations were therefore connected to a solid steel plate through an intermediate buffer, so the whole play structure stands firm while putting only moderate force on the roof surface.
