This playground is designed in a bright red overall color to draw every eye, and it is installed right behind Copenhagen harbor. What is more, the site sits just 24 meters above sea level, on the roof of a multi-story parking garage, so it calls for a new standard in public space design.

The most distinctive feature is the pyramid-shaped play structure. It stands over eight meters tall. From the start, the roof structure was a very solid anchor for the play system. When the playground was being designed, the architect contacted us to find the best way to install the play structure later. Thanks to that, the reinforced concrete of the roof and the play structure were more balanced and solid. As a result, the entire foundation system and its supports were installed before the cement was poured onto the roof. Finally, we covered the whole surface with a waterproof membrane without any obstacles.
