This four-storey tower was built for the Wellard playground alone. No other tower in Western Australia is this tall. Children can climb up each storey through a rope ladder system, which is very stimulating, especially for those aged 10-16. The first storey is completely open. The three upper storeys use large windows and sturdy bamboo panels. Parents could always see their children at play, which mattered a great deal. The open design made every level easy to observe.
Safety and openness both mattered. Stainless steel joints with openings up to 45 mm were fixed to the HDPE window frames.

Another attractive point of this play equipment is the rope netting parallel to the ground, made from several different rope materials. The curved posts keep a minimalist look. The green tones match the coastline. Even young children can test themselves by climbing the tower. Lying and swinging on the rope hammocks is the reward.
